This website was created for CSE 624, Internet for Educators. On my website I created pages that provide viewers links to online resources with accompanying descriptions for what the resources is and suggestions for how to use them in the classroom. This website allows me to share rich technology resources with other educators interested in integrating technology in their classroom.

This learning environment, I created for CSE 684, houses the web tutorials I created for my topic, variables in science. The site targets fifth grade students and is intended to be used in a face-to-face classroom using iPads. In order to present the information in a web tutorial I used a variety of new technologies to create the visuals in the presentation and to record and edit my lesson. I also created the website using Wix.com and embedded videos by uploading them onto Youtube and retrieving the HTML code.

This literature review evaluates current research from academic journals on uses for mobile devices in the classroom. My research for this literature review facilitated a richer understanding of how mobile devices are making their mark in education and how to evaluate applications for educational purposes. After researching how mobile devices are being integrated into schools and their potential benefits as well as downfalls for learning, I have a much better understanding of how mobile devices should be integrated in the classroom allowing me to provide support and advice to my peers on this topic.

This blog I created using Wordpress.com houses a variety of information focused on technology research and trends in education. Academic articles and books are summarized and reflected on to provide my audience with current information about technology and education. Some of the topics presented in the blog include: copyright, fair use, creative commons, project-based learning, videos in education, and mobile learning. In addition to presenting current research on technology integration for learning, I also provide numerous digital resources for educators to use in their classroom. These resources provide hyperlinks for easy access to the resource as well as descriptions for each resource and suggestions for classroom use. The resources I curated are connected to the NETS-T and NETS-S in order to help educators work towards meeting these standards in their own classroom.
